Begin your Abertay University degree from day one through a flexible study route designed to support your academic progression. Your journey starts with the International Stage One (Certificate of Higher Education), delivered by Oxford International Digital Institute (OIDI) as the first stage of your Abertay University degree.
This programme provides the academic foundation, subject knowledge, and study skills needed to progress confidently through your degree and prepare for future career opportunities.
Students can choose to study online or on campus in Abuja at the Oxford International Study Hub, giving you the flexibility to begin your UK university education from Nigeria while working towards an internationally recognised qualification.

Who can apply
Applicants must meet both the English language and academic requirements set out below to be eligible for the Abertay University Year One programme.
English Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate the required level of English language proficiency through one of the following:
Oxford ELLT
Overall score of 4, with no component below 3
IELTS
Overall score of 5.0, with no component below 4.5
Equivalent Qualification
An equivalent recognised English language qualification
Academic Requirements
Applicants should have successfully completed Year 12 of secondary education or hold an equivalent recognised qualification. Accepted qualifications include:
GCE A Levels
Minimum grades of C and D in two academic subjects
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Minimum of 22 points
WAEC
Minimum C6 average across five academic subjects
Undergraduate — Year Two Bachelors
Upon successful completion of the International Stage One (Certificate of Higher Education), students progress directly into the second year of their chosen Abertay University undergraduate degree programme in Dundee, Scotland.
